This is the return of our international dining out series: Around the World in 40 Bites.

We’ll travel to the Northeast to dine at one of Philadelphia's hidden culinary gems, Picanha -- a Brazilian grilled steak house and BYOB. We’ll feast on an all-you-can-eat Brazilian barbecue buffet and share some great bottles of wine…all for only $22 plus tax and tip*!

This churrascaria offers a variety of grilled meats with a unique flair. Like its more pretentious counterpart, Fogo de Chao, Picanha offers table-side service. Meats are presented while they’re still on their cooking skewers and are cut directly onto each diner’s plate.

Here’s what Inquirer restaurant critic Craig LaBan said of Picanha in a recent review: “Every morsel, seasoned with little more than salt and the scent of the carvao, painted my mouth with such beefy essence that I could taste it in my sleep.”
